2cBrown sugar
1cSugar
1cMilk
1/8tsBaking soda
1tbButter or butter substitute
1/4tsSalt
1cBran

Boil all ingredients except bran to soft ball stage (234 - 238 F). Cool to room temperature. Add bran. If desired, 1/2 cup raisins, dates, or nuts may be added. Beat until stiff enough to knead.
